Welcome to Elementary Spanish! In this course you will continue on your journey to learn the second most widely spoken language in the world. You will further develop the skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Spanish, which will enable you to communicate about a broader range of everyday topics. You will also explore some of the products and practices of Spanish-speaking cultures, and reflect upon the perspectives behind them. Self-awareness and community building will be important elements in your journey, as you will be challenged to develop a wide repertoire of learning strategies, push your linguistic boundaries, value mistakes as part of the learning process, and work closely with your peers to support everyone’s growth.
